The Scottish printmaker Murray Macpherson Tod trained at Glasgow School of Art alongside Iain Fleming, before attending the Royal College of Art from 1931 to 1935, winning the Prix de Rome for engraving in his final year. Murray M.Tod was elected to full membership of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1957.
